Gabi: 'Atleti respect Milan'

Atletico Madrid captain Gabi assures they have “a great deal of respect for Milan” ahead of tomorrow’s match.

The first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 kicks off on Wednesday at 19.45 GMT.

“We have a great deal of respect for Milan,” said Gabriel Fernandez in today’s Press conference.

“Of course, then we’ll have to see what happens on the pitch. We have worked very hard to get here.

“Serie A is a very interesting League with many competitive teams.”

Atleti Coach Diego Simeone is no stranger to San Siro, having played for Milan’s rivals Inter.

“We saw the goals he scored over his career against Milan. Hopefully one of us can celebrate like him tomorrow.”
