Francesco Guidolin has praised his Udinese side for victory against a Sassuolo outfit who impressed him.
The Bianconeri went into Wednesday’s game after their disappointing 1-0 home loss to Roma at the weekend.
“I got the reply I wanted from my team,” he stated after a game where both Antonio Di Natale and Luis Muriel netted in the 2-1 triumph. “We faced the encounter in the right way.
“The result is very important and we got it thanks to a good performance. This was a fundamental game for us.
“We led the game, but Sassuolo proved to be a good team too – especially in the second half. They never gave up. They are a quality team eager to fight.”
The Stadio Friuli outfit will now face a potentially tricky game against Inter in Week 11.
“Inter are a good team and new boss Walter Mazzarri is making a difference. The team is solid and more determined than last year.”
