Floccari respects Legia Warsaw

Lazio forward Sergio Floccari believes Europa League opponents Legia Warsaw “will come out and attack us.”

The Aquile are fresh from a 3-0 Serie A victory over Chievo and begin their continental campaign on Thursday at the Stadio Olimpico.

“It was an important win for the squad on Sunday, but before the Rome Derby we need to do well against Legia Warsaw, so we can be really fired up going into the weekend,” Floccari told Lazio Style Channel.

“The Polish team are tough, as they have won their title for three consecutive years and will come out and attack us here.

“In Europe there are fewer calculations to be made, so every team goes for the ultimate positive result. Lazio can improve, as we must try to avoid the big dip in fitness levels that hurt us towards the end of last season.

“We also have to keep the concentration 100 per cent throughout every match, so that way we are in more control.

“I know all the fans are already thinking about the Derby with Roma on Sunday, but we want to first of all do well against Legia Warsaw.”
