Ilicic eyes Fiorentina transfer

The agent of Palermo’s Josip Ilicic insists his client wants to stay in Italy. “He’s fascinated by the Fiorentina project.”

The Slovenian international is available for transfer after the Rosanero were relegated to Serie B.

“Although he is getting offers from abroad, he wants to remain in Italian football,” representative Amir Ruznic told Radio Sportiva.

“He’s always said that he is fascinated by the Viola project and the football which is being played by Vincenzo Montella’s side.

“However, the two clubs will firstly have to reach an agreement – only after then can we get involved.

“We just have to wait and see what happens.”

The midfielder, 10 goals in 31 games in the past campaign, is also understood to be on the radar of Napoli and Roma in Serie A.
