Francesco Guidolin is not taking success for granted against Pescara, as he warns Udinese “need to be careful and concentrated.”
The Friulani are without Mehdi Benatia, Giampiero Pinzi and Andrea Lazzari, but Zeljko Brkic and Gabriele Angella return. Click here for a match preview.
“We have studied Pescara’s games and know we need to be careful and concentrated,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“In their last game against Lazio, they allowed practically nothing in the opening half-hour. Lazio managed to resolve the match with individual strikes from distance, but they struggled to get that victory.”
Antonio Di Natale’s goal drought drags on and Guidolin has a plan to help him break through.
“We could use a trident attack with Luis Muriel and Maicosuel out wide. We used a 3-4-3 against Torino at times, though it requires generosity and concentration to play with that system.”
Udinese are now in ninth place and Guidolin was asked whether they could mount another late push for Europe.
“It’s difficult, but there is a third of the season to go. Udinese can’t always finish in front of Inter, Fiorentina and Napoli. It happened last year, but it’s not the rule.”
Udinese squad for Pescara: Brkic, Padelli, Pawlowski; Angella, Basta, Danilo, Domizzi, Heurtaux, Gabriel Silva, Pasquale; Allan, Badu, Campos Toro, Faraoni, Merkel, Pereyra, Rodriguez; Di Natale, Maicosuel, Muriel, Ranegie, Zielinski
