Gigi Buffon says he would only consider leaving Juventus to re-join Parma – even if he’s on the verge of signing a new deal in Turin.
The goalkeeper is only tied to the Old Lady until June 2013, but he is soon expected to renew terms with the Bianconeri.
“I’ll sign my contract soon,” he stated to La Nazione. “It is not a question of money and everything will be made official in a little while.
“If I left Juve then I would happily go back to Parma, the side who launched me at the top level.”
The 34-year-old was brought up through the Parma youth system and he made his Serie A debut for the club as a 17-year-old in a 0-0 draw with Milan.
He joined Juve in the summer of 2001 for a goalkeeping world record fee of £32m.
