Stroppa has Pescara problems

Giovanni Stroppa concedes Pescara are in a difficult situation ahead of the relegation dogfight with Siena and loses Vladimir Weiss.

The Delfini were thrashed 6-1 by Juventus last week and top scorer Weiss is not even in the squad.

“Weiss is unavailable for this game. Juan Fernando Quintero has only been able to train once this week after international duty, so he is very tired,” said the Coach.

“There is the right tension to face this match against Siena. We need determination and grit after the defeat to Juventus.

“This is an important game, but not a decisive one for relegation, seeing as we are still at the start of the season.

“We have to play the same way we did against Parma and use that performance as a template. Serse Cosmi is a Coach who always stamps his personality on a team and we know the type of Siena side we’ll be meeting.”
