Milan wave goodbye to one of their transfer targets, as Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has officially renewed his Montpellier contract.
The defender had all but agreed terms with the Rossoneri over the summer and was set to be out of contract in June 2013.
It was believed he was going to hold out on negotiations with any other clubs so that he could join Milan on a free transfer.
However, Montpellier refused to sell and have now officially given 23-year-old Yanga-Mbiwa a new contract until June 2015.
