Gaby Mudingayi believes he has silenced his doubters at Inter and believes he is more relaxed, even with strong competition for places.

The 31-year-old transferred to San Siro from Bologna this summer and believes that whilst he was not necessarily welcome in all quarters back then, he has now won everyone over.

“At first, everyone wondered what someone like me was doing at Inter, but now all the comments about me are positive,” he told reporters today.

“Now I feel stronger than ever, playing in a peaceful manner even though there is strong competition in midfield.”

Mudingayi, however, is not in favour with everyone and sees his international career with Belgium seemingly over.

“I’m sorry that I could not be involved in the squad, but I understand that the Coach wants to focus on younger players and their talent.”
