Palermo ace Fabrizio Miccoli feels that he should have been awarded more Italian caps at international level.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed a decent club career and he’s still rippling the net in Serie A for the Rosanero. But Azzurri recognition has been limited.
“I’ll just have to be content with my 10 caps even if I won’t hide the fact that I would have wanted to play more games,” he stated.
“I don’t really know why that didn’t happen…”
The former Juventus, Fiorentina and Benfica forward was given his debut back in February 2003 in a 1-0 win over Portugal.
Miccoli won his last cap in November 2004 when he actually scored his second international goal in a 1-0 against Finland.
The pint-sized forward hit the headlines at the weekend with a stunning hat-trick in the 4-1 win over Chievo Verona.
