Argentina international De Paul has been linked with numerous clubs, including Inter, Juventus, Milan, Roma, Napoli and Leeds United.

“Obviously, he is a player whose name is on everyone’s lips,” Marino told DAZN.

“We have the desire and strength to keep him, but if an opportunity he can’t refuse arrives, we couldn’t hold him back.”

Udinese have comfortably secured their mid-table status and were never really at risk of relegation.

“Apart from the last few rounds, when we had numerous problems with injuries, I’d say in the second half of the season we were always closer to the top half of the table than the relegation zone.

“We evaluated Luca Gotti’s work positively, but naturally we have to meet up and talk about everything you discuss with a coach at the end of the season.”
