Napoli match Roma salary for Dybala

While sources in Argentina insist Roma have the only real offer for Paulo Dybala, the Corriere della Sera claims Napoli are proposing €6m per season.

La Joya is a free agent after his contract with Juventus was allowed to run down, a previously-agreed €10m per season extension withdrawn by the club.

He had been close to Inter, who hit the brakes after bringing in Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.

Milan are also interested, but do not see Dybala as a priority, focusing instead on Club Brugge talent Charles De Ketelaere.

TyC Sport claimed today that the only proposal ready to meet Dybala’s €6m per season demands is from Roma.

However, the Corriere della Sera online edition insists this evening that Napoli are prepared to match that with their own €6m per season wages.

That would burst through the proposed new salary cap at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona of circa €3.5m per season.

However, the club had been prepared to break it anyway with €6m for Kalidou Koulibaly, who turned it down to join Chelsea for €40m instead.

That figure therefore might’ve been budgeted and can instead be used for Dybala.

There is another problem, though, as President Aurelio De Laurentiis demands all Napoli players sign over their image rights to the club and that could be a sticking point for Dybala.
