There are a few doubts for Maurizio Sarri going into the Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich, as Lazio have options in midfield and attack.

It kicks off at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday at 20.00 GMT.

The first leg ended 1-0 to the Biancocelesti thanks to a Ciro Immobile penalty and it seems certain the veteran will again be leading the way upfront as well as wearing the captain’s armband tomorrow.

Nicolò Rovella and Gil Patric are out injured, but there are also concerns over Matias Vecino and Mattia Zaccagni, who are not 100 per cent fit.

It remains to be seen whether Zaccagni will start in the trident attack or Gustav Isaksen, joining Immobile and the ever-present Felipe Anderson.

The other major doubt for Sarri is in midfield, where Danilo Cataldi is the favourite ahead of Vecino, in the absence of Rovella.

The chaotic defeat to Milan has at least forced some squad rotation for Lazio, as because of their red cards, Luca Pellegrini, Adam Marusic and Matteo Guendouzi will all be suspended for at least this weekend in Serie A.

As for Bayern Munich, they are in dire form too, coming off a 2-2 draw with SC Freiburg and already looking for Thomas Tuchel’s replacement next season.

Dayot Upamecano was sent off in the first leg and is therefore suspended, with long-term absentees Noussair Mazraoui, Daniel Peretz, Sacha Boey, Kingsley Coman, Bouna Sarr and Tarek Buchmann.

There is a boost for Tuchel, as Alphonso Davies returns at left-back, while former Juventus and Napoli defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Kim Min-jae are expected to start.

Mathys Tel impressed off the bench in the first leg and scored in the Freiburg match on Friday, so could push Leroy Sane out of the XI supporting Harry Kane.

Bayern Munich probable (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Kimmich, De Ligt, Kim, Davies; Pavlovic, Goretzka; Sane, Müller, Musiala; Kane

Lazio probable (4-3-3): Provedel; Marusic, Gila, Romagnoli, Hysaj; Guendouzi, Cataldi, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni
