Juventus transfers: Rovella ready to return, clause activated in Szczesny’s contract

Juventus loanee Nicolò Rovella believes he will remain in Turin in 2023-24, while Wojciech Szczęsny has extended his contract with the Bianconeri until 2025.

Massimiliano Allegri will discuss plans for the future with club directors in the coming days, but the team for next season is already taking shape.

Adrien Rabiot, Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria will leave the Allianz Stadium, while Nicolò Rovella will return from his loan spell at Monza. The Italian midfielder expects to remain in Turin in 2023-24.

“We’ll see in the summer, but I think so,” he told DAZN.

“I’ve improved at Monza, but now I am only focused on the last game of the season and the U21 European Championship. When I trained with Juventus last summer, I understood the level and thought I was missing a step to play with them.”

The 21-year-old has scored one goal in 27 Serie A appearances with Monza this term.

Szczesny is also expected to remain at the Allianz Stadium as, according to Romeo Agresti, a clause to automatically extend his contract from 2024 until 2025 has been activated.

The Poland international is one of the highest earners in Turin with a €7m-a-year contract.

Szcznesy joined Juventus from Arsenal in 2017 after a two-year loan spell at Roma. He has played 216 games with the Bianconeri.
