Juventus at a crossroads: Dybala or Pogba?

Juventus will reportedly meet Paulo Dybala’s agent tomorrow and according to Tuttosport, the Old Lady may have more chances to sign Paul Pogba as a free agent if the Argentinean doesn’t extend.

Both Dybala and Pogba see their contracts expire on June 30. The Argentinean has been in talks with Juventus for a long time and negotiations will resume tomorrow. Juventus will slightly change their initial proposal, offering €10m per season, split into €7m as a fixed salary plus €3m add-ons. The original offer was €8m plus €2m bonuses.

It remains to be seen if Dybala will accept Juventus’ offer and Tuttosport analyses the possible future scenarios for the Bianconeri, if the striker doesn’t commit his future to the club.

According to the report, Juventus would have more chances to sign Pogba as a free agent in the summer if Dybala leaves. The Frenchman would still need to lower his current wages (€13m plus bonuses) to return to Turin, but it may be impossible for the Old Lady to afford both players’ salaries next season.

On the other hand, Nicolò Zaniolo is Juventus’ main transfer target in the summer regardless of Dybala’s decision. The Italy international has a lower salary and the Bianconeri will make their move at the end of the season, especially if Zaniolo doesn’t sign a contract extension with Roma in the next few months.
