Juventus are completely different in Europe

Juventus have a 100 per cent record in the Champions League and have yet to concede a goal in the competition this campaign, in stark contrast to life in Serie A.

Allegri’s men are currently 16 points behind leaders Napoli and Milan in the Italian top flight and are not looking like a competitor for the top four and must fight for qualify for the Champions League next term.

Juventus are ninth after 11 games and Claudio Marchisio stressed it reminds him of the season when the Old Lady finished seventh under Luigi Delneri in 2010-11.

The Bianconeri arrive from three Serie A games without a win, picking up one point against reigning champions Inter and back-to-back 2-1 defeats to Sassuolo and Hellas Verona.

Marchisio: ‘Where did Juve’s DNA go?’

The last win came in the Champions League two weeks ago, when Juventus picked up three points against Zenit St Petersburg in Russia.

Dejan Kulusevski entered to replace injured Federico Bernardeschi and the Swede scored the winner, when Juventus picked up their second 1-0 win in Group H.

Juventus sit first with nine points from the first three games, beating Chelsea in Turin and Malmö FF in Sweden prior to the match against the Russians.

But the crisis in Serie A overshadows the results in the Champions League, as Juventus aim to go beyond the last 16 for the first time since Allegri’s last stint with the club.

Juventus have scored five goals through five different goalkscorers and conceded none in the three first games, hoping to qualify for the knockout stages already tonight, when Zenit arrive at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

A win will secure a place in the last 16 for the Old Lady, who sit six points above their opponents at third place.
