Juventus and Inter may have to wait for Man Utd forward Martial

Juventus and Inter are in front row for Anthony Martial, who has six months left on his Manchester United contract, but the interested Italian clubs may have to wait for the French forward.

The Frenchman has constantly been linked with a move to Serie A over the last few years, with clubs like Roma and Milan once keeping a close eye on the now-28-year-old striker. Over the last few years, he’s failed to look particularly convincing with the Red Devils, but hasn’t found a new home still.

Martial has now entered the last six months of his contract with Manchester United and is expected to leave on a free transfer in the summer, again attracting the attention of Juventus and Inter, who are both keen to snap up the striker.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Manchester United still hold the option to extend Martial’s contract by a further year to June 2025, which would force Juventus and Inter to wait if they wanted to sign him on a free transfer.

His agent Philippe Lamboley recently told the media that his client wasn’t looking for a way out of the Red Devils, saying: “Anthony will not leave and will stay until his contract expires in June. He has not been excluded from the group and has no problems with anyone at the club.

“Anthony has been in Manchester for nine seasons and if he hadn’t been a great professional he wouldn’t have stayed for so long.”
