Italian media name best and worst Juventus players in 1-1 draw against Empoli

Dusan Vlahovic and Arek Milik were like night and day for Juventus against Empoli, but other Bianconeri players were not up to the task on Saturday, alongside the Poland international.

Milik was sent off after just 18 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Empoli at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Tommaso Baldanzi’s goal cancelled out Vlahovic’s opener in the second half, but the Serbia international was the best Juventus player on Saturday, according to all Italian sports papers.

Vlahovic was rated 7/0 by La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport and 7.5/10 by Corriere dello Sport. Only Gleison Bremer could near the 24-year-old striker as the Brazilian was rated 6.5 by all Italian sports papers.

Needless to say, Milik received the lowest ratings: 4.5 on Tuttosport, 4 on Corriere dello Sport and even 3 on Gazzetta.

Milik apologised to Juventus fans on social media after the final whistle, but many of his teammates also failed to impress.

Among them were Manuel Locatelli, Weston McKennie, Fabio Miretti and Filip Kostic. None of them received passing grades from Italian sports papers, except Miretti and McKennie on Corriere dello Sport.

Juventus’ next game is against Inter at the Stadio Meazza on Sunday, February 4.
