How Roma players reacted to Mourinho’s dressing room speech

Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma players were ‘not bothered’ by José Mourinho’s speech inside the Stadio Meazza dressing room after their 2-0 loss against Inter and that the team leaders stand by the coach’s side.

The Rome-based paper reported yesterday that Mourinho had blamed his players after an unconvincing performance and a 2-0 loss against Inter on Tuesday. The former Chelsea and Manchester United coach used harsh words and accused his players of ‘not having the balls’ and ‘lacking personality.’

Mourinho furious with Roma players: ‘You have no personality’

The Special One was all but happy after the elimination from the tournament and made sure Roma players knew his feelings.

There’s a new update on today’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport, claiming that Roma players were not too bothered by Mourinho’s speech as they are now accustomed to Mourinho’s adrenaline rush.

Mourinho spoke to his players again yesterday, but his mood was different and the tone was much more relaxed. Players were only upset because somebody informed the newspaper about Mourinho’s speech, but the dressing room leaders reportedly stand by the coach’s side and want to show an immediate reaction starting from Sunday’s match against Sassuolo.
