Forget Neymar and Mbappé: Milan stars Leao and Giroud the highest scoring duo

La Gazzetta Dello Sport highlights that Milan stars Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud have been the highest-scoring duo in Europe’s top 5 leagues this month.

The Rossoneri strikers have contributed to seven of Milan’s eight goals in the last five league games, the 87% of the Rossoneri’s total tally. No other attacking partnership in Europe’s top five leagues has more.

Roma get quite close with Paulo Dybala and Tammy Abraham who have contributed to five of Roma’s last six goals (83%), followed by Neymar and Kylian Mbappé at PSG, Arek Milik and Dusan Vlahovic at Juventus (67%).

Inter‘s Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez have scored three of the last eight goals for the Nerazzurri (37%), still more than Napoli (33% through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Giacomo Raspadori) and Atalanta (12% with Rasmus Höjlund and Ademola Lookman).

Milan lost 2-1 against Napoli in the last game before the international break two weeks ago and resume their campaign tomorrow visiting Empoli at the Stadio Castellani.
