Could Juventus sack Allegri if they don’t win against Maccabi?

Pressure mounts on Juventus and Massimiliano Allegri ahead of their Champions League match against Maccabi, but Tuttosport confirms the club won’t sack the coach even if he fails to win in Israel.

The Serie A giants have only won one game out of thee in the Champions League Group H and need another victory today to keep their qualification hopes alive. It’s a more difficult task than it seems as Juventus have never won away this term.

Multiple reports in Italy claim Allegri’s job is not at risk and even if Juventus fail to beat Maccabi tonight, it is unlikely that directors will change their mind.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported on Monday that Juventus want to see a reaction from players and although Max Allegri has the task of solving the team’s issues, President Andrea Agnelli still has faith in him.

This doesn’t mean that the Old Lady won’t take action if Juventus’ run of poor results continues.

Club directors will make their assessments during the World Cup break and at the end of the season.

Allegri signed a four-year deal at the Allianz Stadium in 2021, so he has barely three years left in his contract with the Bianconeri.

Last season, he completed Juventus’ first trophyless campaign in 11 years, but still kept his job after that his predecessors Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo had been sacked despite adding more pieces of silverware to the club’s trophy cabinet.
