“Our season has already concluded, but it’s a fiery atmosphere, Fiorentina still have the chance to qualify for the Conference League,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.
“We want to play well, enjoy our football and get a good result, because nobody likes to be embarrassed.”
It is a reshuffled defence with Matthijs de Ligt, Leonardo Bonucci and departing Giorgio Chiellini all together.
“I brought everyone along, but Alvaro Morata has a problem with his tooth and can’t play. Vlahovic and Cuadrado aren’t in great shape, so with everyone else out, I had to use De Ligt as a full-back.”
This is the first season that Juventus have ended empty-handed since the 2010-11 campaign, losing the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana Finals, both to Inter.
“I think we’ve done a good job this season. We didn’t win the Scudetto, but we knew that was going to be incredibly difficult,” added Allegri.
“The club coming off 10 years of victories, it’s inevitable that run has to end at some point. The main objective was always that Juventus have to qualify for the Champions League and we achieved that. For example, Inter and Milan were out for many years, so it’s not to be taken for granted.”
There are multiple reports in the media today that Paul Pogba has accepted a return to Juventus as a free agent from Manchester United, with Angel Di Maria also set to arrive from PSG.
“Naturally, people in the media are saying all sorts of things about the transfer market. Now we’ve got time once this game is over to sort the team out.”
