Will Ramsey play for Juventus ever again?

Aaron Ramsey has only played five games with Juventus this season and with the Bianconeri looking to offload him in January, the former Arsenal man may not play with the Serie A giants ever again.

His agent met the Bianconeri directors last week and although the two parties are not considering ending the player’s contract by mutual agreement, Juventus want to sell the 30-year-old who is among the highest earners at the club with a €7m-a-year salary.

His contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June 2023.

Massimiliano Allegri has deployed him mainly as a deep-lying playmaker, a role that the former Arsenal man doesn’t quite enjoy.

Ramsey wasn’t even on the bench due to muscular problems in seven of Juventus’ last eight Serie A games.

Federico Chiesa, Danilo, Giorgio Chiellini, Paulo Dybala are also out of action and during a press conference on Monday, Allegri said they will return to group training on December 30.

However, the coach almost forgot to mention Ramsey, saying: ‘We’ll see how he does, he is still injured.”

Oddly, Ramsey scored three goals in the last four games played with Wales between October and November. He sustained a new injury upon his return to Turin after his last match with his national team.

Ramsey played his last Juventus game on October 20 against Zenit in the Champions League. With the January transfer window just around the corner, that could have been his final match in a Bianconeri shirt.
