Gleison Bremer signed a contract extension with Torino until June 2024, but the Brazilian defender is still likely to leave the Granata in the summer, with Inter and Chelsea interested.
The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the best defenders in Serie A this season and Il Corriere dello Sport claimed last month that the Nerazzurri have already reached an agreement in principle with the Brazil defender for 2022-23.

His contract extension with Torino came as no surprise as the Granata did not want to negotiate his possible sale in the summer with just one year left in the defender’s contract.
In the past, Torino had rejected big-money offers for their captain Andrea Belotti who will likely leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season.
“With time, I’ve understood that it’s better to let players leave if they want,” Torino President Urbano Cairo said in December.
“If something changes inside their heads, stress and injuries tend to improve.”
Torino didn’t want to face the same situation with Bremer and persuaded him to sign a new deal with the club.
His contract extension won’t change the transfer plans of Inter, Milan and Chelsea, who have been scouting the 24-year-old for a long time.
Inter are leading the race to sign Bremer, but this doesn’t mean Milan or the Blues have no chances.
However, the Rossoneri have made Lille’s Sven Botman their priority for the summer, while Chelsea have targeted Matthijs de Ligt of Juventus.
However, in case Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave at the end of their contracts in June, the Premier League giants could go for both Bremer and De Ligt in July.
