Nuno Santos was accused of attacking head coach Kjetil Knutsen by Bodo/Glimt following their win over Roma yesterday. Who is the Roma goalkeeping coach?

The 48-year-old is a member of Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi staff, joining the former Chelsea man during his time in North London with Tottenham. He worked with Spurs for 86 games before being dismissed following Mourinho’s eventual sacking. Nuno Santos then followed the Portuguese coach to Roma last summer

During his time with Tottenham, Nuno Santos was sent off, given a one-match ban and fined £8000 after using ‘abusive or insulting language’ toward referee Peter Bankes in a 1-1 draw with Newcastle.

Nuno Santos’s playing career wasn’t too spectacular. He saw most of his playing time come for provincial clubs in his native Portugal, making regular appearances for Vitória Setúbal and Santa Clara. He was contracted to both Leeds United and Benfica but failed to make a single league appearance for either side.

The Roma goalkeeping coach allegedly grabbed Bodo/Glimt head coach Knutsen by the neck and pushed him against a wall during yesterday’s tense Europa Conference League clash. The Norwegian club announced their intention to file a police complaint earlier today, angry with UEFA’s initial inaction.
