New Milan coach Paulo Fonseca is now on the ground in Italy and ready to begin work for the Rossoneri ahead of the 2024-25 Serie A season.

The former Roma boss arrived at Milan Malpensa on Saturday late-morning and gave a ‘Forza Milan’ to the cluster of journalists waiting outside the terminal for his arrival.

Fonseca has signed a three-year deal in San Siro, and has brought five members of backroom staff along with him, including former Chelsea and Portugal defender Paulo Fereira as one of his assistants.

Tiago Leal (tactical expert and assistant coach), Paulo Mourao (fitness coach), Antonio Ferreira (goalkeeper coach) and Nelson Duarte (match analyst) will also be sat in the Milan dugout this season.

The 51-year-old has since been taken to Milanello to greet other staff members and find his bearings at the club’s training ground. He is set to give his first press conference on Monday.
