Video: Loftus-Cheek says Milan ‘need to think about winning Champions League or Scudetto’

Ruben Loftus-Cheek already made his Serie A debut and met with Milan fans today, assuring this squad ‘need to think about winning the Champions League or Scudetto.’

The former Chelsea midfielder made the move to San Siro for €16m plus bonuses and featured in Monday’s 2-0 win away to Bologna.

This afternoon he was at the Milan Store in the city centre to meet the supporters and give his views on the new campaign.

“It’s really good to come and chat with the fans, but it’s been an amazing first month with AC Milan. To get the first win on Monday was perfect, now we look forward to Saturday. It’s all good – tutto bene!” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a very difficult game, but to get a clean sheet and win 2-0 was perfect. Now we want to build on that and keep improving. It will take time, but to start like that is perfect.”

Napoli, Inter, Juventus and Milan all started the campaign with three points, and although the Rossoneri are transformed by many new signings, they seem to have gelled very quickly.

“As a team and individuals, we always have to aim high. As AC Milan, we need to think about winning, whether it be winning the Champions League or the Scudetto. For me and for the team, we want to win every game that we play.”
