Who made it into the Football Italia Team of the Week? Dave Taylor picks his ideal XI after the latest round of action.

Federico Marchetti [Lazio]

With the Curva B at his back he showed nerves of steel and, although troubled in the first 45 minutes, it was his second half saves from Pandev, Cavani and then Lavezzi that were absolutely world-class. Dependable.

Hugo Campagnaro [Napoli]

Another top performance from the Argentine, who was always there to block any advances down Lazio's left and also set off several attacks himself. Almost scored early on with a header from Lavezzi's cross. Dynamic.

Thiago Silva [Milan]

Led the back line with his usual aplomb and power. And like his partner Nesta he makes defending look much easier than it is. Made several important tackles, especially a crucial one early in the game on Gilardino. Domineering.

Giorgio Chiellini [Juventus” data-scaytid=”53″>Juventus]

Seems to be settling in at left-back and had his most comfortable game there this season. Always alert defensively, but also made incursions into the Palermo area and set up Pepe's goal with a superb cross. Diligent.

Ricardo Gabriel Alvarez [Inter]

Came on as a sub at half-time and picked up the pace immediately, offering menace and meanness in equal quantities. Popped up everywhere and had a massive hand in both goals. Determined.

Claudio Marchisio [Juventus]

An extremely lively performance from the 25-year-old product of the Old Lady's nursery. Set up attacks, won the ball back and then capped a Man of the Match display with a pearl of a goal from the right. Daring.

Marco Parolo [Cesena]

Twice before the left-sided central midfielder had severely tested Gillet with two power shots and it was third time lucky as his Exocet screamed into the top corner from over 20 yards out. Dynamic.

Rodrigo Taddei [Roma]

Menaced Lecce throughout with his constant runs and dangerous crosses into the area. His persistence finally paid off as he set up Pjanic to slot home the opener. Carried on causing mayhem and almost scored himself. Dogged.

Jonathan Biabiany [Parma]

Parma's best player caused chaos in the Udinese defence with his speed and intelligent play down the right. Pushed from the first minute and scored the opener from a few yards with a fine header. Distinguished.

German Denis [Atalanta]

The former Napoli striker can't stop scoring and added two more to his tally. His first saw him earn and then convert a penalty, while he out-jumped the home defence to nod home his ninth goal of the season. Dangerous.

Ezequiel Lavezzi [Napoli]

Another all-out intelligent display from Pocho who forced at least three stunning saves from Marchetti. Also set up several teammates with goalscoring opportunities, but they failed to match his awareness. Delightful.
