“Pepe Reina had a good part of today’s training session and will make the trip with us, but then it depends on his feelings whether he actually plays or not,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“Pepe is a very important player for us, but we also have a goalkeeper like Gabriel who won the Serie B title at Carpi last season, plus Rafael who won the Copa Libertadores. We shouldn’t worry too much about who plays in goal, as they are all reliable.”

Sarri again complained at the modern fixture list, as Juventus host Empoli this evening and Napoli play tomorrow.

“This is the sixth time we have played after Juve and they always seem to win. Playing with a huge weight on our shoulders can damage confidence, but so far it hasn’t happened. We’re almost getting used to it now.

“We have a team ahead of us that has done exceptional things, just as Roma are impressive behind us. I don’t think my side has any worries psychologically or physically.

“I expect tomorrow’s game and nothing beyond that. We are facing a complicated test, because the first one after the break for international duty is always complicated.

“Udinese have been regenerated by the arrival of a new Coach, so I struggle to understand why they are so low down the standings. We have to focus only on Udinese, there’s no point thinking beyond that.”

Gonzalo Higuain is all set for the Capocannoniere title and also impressed for Argentina midweek, but did that World Cup qualifier fatigue him?

“I saw him in a good mood, in physical terms the sensations are positive, but you can’t get someone who just made a 22,000km journey and make him do heavy training sessions before a game. I’m not worried, though.”
