Roma to benefit if Schick completes West Ham transfer

Roma could benefit to the tune of €2.1m if their former striker Patrik Schick moves from Bayer Leverkusen to West Ham United.

According to various reports in Germany and England, the Hammers have set their sights firmly on Schick and want the hitman in the January transfer window.

The deal would be done for circa €47.5m, claims the Daily Mirror newspaper.

Jose Mourinho is watching with interest, because this could be worth a €2.1m boost to his Roma side.

Schick was sold to Leverkusen in September 2020 for €26.5m plus a 10 per cent cut of any profits from his future sale.

If the figures reported are correct, and Schick will cost €47.5m, that would give Roma €2.1m, representing 10 per cent of the €21m profit Bayer Leverkusen are making from the sale to West Ham.

Schick scored 16 goals and provided seven assists in just 14 Bundesliga appearances so far this season.

The Czech Republic international turns 26 next month.
