Jose Mourinho has reportedly found his next club after his mid-season exit from Roma, agreeing a contract with Fenerbahce.

The 61-year-old Portuguese coach spent 30 months at the helm of the Giallorossi from July 2021 to January 2024, being dismissed by the club following a painful defeat to Milan in the league. He was replaced by former midfielder Daniele De Rossi.

Mourinho showed a number of positives and negatives during his two-and-a-half-year spell with Roma, winning a Conference League title in his first season and taking them to the Europa League final in his second. The wheels of his project began to come off in his third year, prompting his exit.

Mourinho future

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Mourinho is set to become the new head coach of Fenerbahce after agreeing a two-year contract with the Istanbul giants, who missed out on the Super Lig title by just three points this season, having suffered defeat just once across their 38 league games.

Sporting director Mario Branco led negotiations for the former Roma coach, who had made it clear that he had no intention of stepping away from football following his mid-season dismissal in the Italian capital.
