Roma cut adrift by Juventus

Roma will go into this weekend’s meeting with Juventus 22 points behind, the biggest gap before a match since 2002-03.

The Giallorossi have had a poor start to the campaign, while Saturday’s hosts have dropped just two points all season.

Roma have never won at Juventus Stadium – now Allianz Stadium – and have lost all seven of the Serie A meetings there.

In addition, the gap between the two sides has never been bigger before a head-to-head game.

Roma have never won at Juventus Stadium – now Allianz Stadium – and have lost all seven of the Serie A meetings there.

In addition, the gap between the two sides has never been bigger before a head-to-head game.

Since Serie A introduced three points for a win the gap has never been so big, aside from the 2002-03 season when Juve had 61 points and Roma 39.

That was Week 28 though, with the biggest gap since coming in at 21 points ahead of the Week 34 clash in 2011-12.

Indeed Roma’s record against Juventus in Turin is dreadful, winning just eight of 84 trips to face the Old Lady.

The Bianconeri boast 55 wins and 21 draws, with 163 Juventus goals and 59 for Roma.
