Report: Roma secure Llorente

Roma have reportedly secured a deal for Fernando Llorente but will only sign him once Edin Dzeko or Patrik Schick leave.

Llorente seemed to be set for Fiorentina, while Lazio were also said to be in the running for the ex-Tottenham Hotspur striker.

However, Calciomercato.it claims Roma have come out of nowhere to ‘lock down’ the Spaniard as a ‘Plan B’ if Dzeko or Schick depart.

The 34-year-old is no stranger to Serie A, having won two Scudetti with Juventus between 2013 and 2015.

As for Dzeko, Gazzetta dello Sport warns the Bosnian is becoming impatient with the drawn-out nature of Inter’s negotiations.

Therefore, the newspaper claims he has given the Nerazzurri until the end of next week to close a deal.
