PSG prepare offer for Leao, consider Allegri and Conte

According to reports in Italy, PSG are ready to offer €70m for Milan star Rafael Leao and are considering Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

Leao, 22, has a contract running until June 2024, but the Rossoneri are in talks with his agent Jorge Mendes to extend the player’s stay at the club by two more years. The Portuguese star has scored 11 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions this term, attracting the interest of many clubs in Europe and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG are ready to place a €70m bid.

Neither Milan nor Leao are eager to part ways, so the offer coming from France will likely be rejected. Leao’s former club Lille has a 15% clause on any future sale, one more reason why the Rossoneri would not accept PSG’s offer.

The Ligue 1 giants are preparing for life after Kylian Mbappé, who seems destined to join Real Madrid as a free agent. The future of Mauricio Pochettino is also in doubt after last week’s Champions League elimination at the hands of Real Madrid.

Although Zinedine Zidane is the leading candidate to take over at the Parc des Princes next season, Allegri is another option for PSG along with Antonio Conte, Simone Inzaghi and – even – Spezia coach Thiago Motta, a former PSG and Italy midfielder.

Allegri returned to Juventus in the summer, signing a €9m-a-year deal for the next five seasons and, at the moment, he is not considering moving to Paris.
