Muriel-Kean swap rejected, Juventus don’t want Icardi

Juventus tried to offer Moise Kean in exchange for Luis Muriel, but were rejected by Atalanta, while it’s reported the Bianconeri turned down Mauro Icardi from PSG.

The first choice remains Memphis Depay, who is trying to negotiate an early contract termination with Barcelona so that he can then sign a two-year deal in Turin worth €5m per season.

However, Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta dello Sport claim they are also examining other alternatives, especially with Kean punished in pre-season for tardiness.

It is claimed they offered Kean to Atalanta in exchange for Muriel, a proposal that was rejected outright by the Bergamo side.

Another option put forward to Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain is Icardi, the former Inter and Sampdoria centre-forward who has been frozen out and made to train with the reserve players by new coach Christophe Galtier.

On this occasion, it was the Bianconeri who replied they were not interested in the Argentina international.

Sky Sport Italia also reported this evening that Juve could try to snatch Giovanni Simeone from under Napoli’s noses, as Verona are prepared to let him go on loan for €3m with an option to buy for a further €12m.
