Montolivo: ‘Last chance for Milan’

Riccardo Montolivo admits the Coppa Italia final is “the last chance” for Milan to prove themselves.

The Rossoneri finished the season in seventh-place in Serie A, and will miss out on Europe for a third-consecutive season if they don’t win against Juventus tomorrow.

“This is the last chance for us to prove our quality,” captain Montolivo declared in the pre-match Press conference.

The Rossoneri finished the season in seventh-place in Serie A, and will miss out on Europe for a third-consecutive season if they don’t win against Juventus tomorrow.

“This is the last chance for us to prove our quality,” captain Montolivo declared in the pre-match Press conference.

“Juve start as favourites, but we can hurt Juve, the games against them in the League were balanced. We don’t start beaten, we want to fight.

“There’s no point talking now, tomorrow is the last examination, the last chance for everyone to prove they deserve to be part of this team.

“We need team spirit and to play between the lines.

“We’re the first to believe, and we’ve trained well this week. We’ll play a good game tomorrow. The thing that we’ve got wrong most often is our mentality, but that won’t happen this time.”

Montolivo was also asked about top-scorer Carlos Bacca, singled-out as the Diavolo danger-man by Juventus Coach Max Allegri.

“He’s definitely a big weapon, but the whole team must be. That has to be the first step.”
