Milan are keen to sign Nicolo Zaniolo and they’ve submitted an offer of both cash and Alexis Saelemaekers for the Roma talent.
The 22-year-old Italian forward has not renewed his contract with the Giallorossi yet and with his deal expiring in 2024, this summer represents a strong time to cash in on the player. Zaniolo had a slow start to the season under Jose Mourinho but warmed up as the year progressed, netting the winning goal in the Europa Conference League final against Feyenoord.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are keen to pick up Zaniolo this summer and they’ve offered Roma €25m plus Alexis Saelemaekers. The Belgian forward struggled to find consistency under Stefano Pioli this season and may be a better fit elsewhere.
Unfortunately for him and Milan, Roma have turned down the offer as Mourinho is unconvinced about the 22-year-old Belgian. The two parties are still in talks and further offers are expected as they work to reach an agreement.
