Milan midfielder Yunus Musah got his first international goal, and the United States’s first under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino during a 2-0 win over Panama in a friendly in Austin in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Musah lined up as a starter in midfield alongside fellow Serie A representative Gianluca Busio, as well as Milan teammate Christian Pulisic, who was part of Pochettino’s front three.

It was Pulisic who claimed the assist for Musah’s opener. The Rossoneri forward combined with Brendan Aaronson on the left flank, before sending in an enticing cross for Musah to stab home on the volley.

It was the 21-year-old’s first senior international goal from 42 caps.
