Milan agree deal for Lazetic, Red Star CEO confirms

Zvezdan Terzic has confirmed that Red Star have agreed to sell Marko Lazetic to Milan, and that Fiorentina made an offer for the teenager.

The Rossoneri recently submitted a €5m offer for the 18-year-old Serbian forward and the Red Star CEO has confirmed that it was accepted. Personal terms now need to be agreed between the Milanese side and the teenager’s entourage.

Speaking with Telegraf.rs, Terzic first discussed the interest around Europe for the 18-year-old Lazetic.

“There has been interest from big clubs for Lazetic, we have had offers from Zenit, RB Salzburg, Fiorentina. These are indications that repay the huge investments in our youth sector, which costs us €3m a year.”

The Red Star CEO then confirmed that a deal has been reached with Milan regarding the Serbian forward.

“The transfer of Lazetic to Milan is an indication of the good work done over the years. Yesterday we agreed everything with Milan, now I expect Lazetic to negotiate his conditions through his agents and sign the contract.

“For Red Star it is a great recognition to have one of their own players at Milan after 30 years.”

Milan will meet with Lazetic’s entourage tomorrow as they look to agree personal terms. Once that’s finished, only the final details will remain before the Serbian teenager is officially part of the Rossoneri.

The 18-year-old Lazetic has shown potential in his 14 Super Liga Srbije appearances this campaign, scoring one goal in that time.
