Lyon, Malaga, Villarreal want Iturbe

Olympique Lyonnais, Malaga and Villarreal have asked Roma to take Juan Manuel Iturbe on loan.

The 23-year-old Paraguay international spent last season on loan at Bournemouth with an option to buy, but he barely set foot on the pitch.

Luciano Spalletti tried to evaluate Iturbe over the summer, but he did not sufficiently impress.

Now L’Equipe claim Lyon have made an offer to take Iturbe on loan this season.

The French side join the race, as there are also proposals from Spain via Villarreal and above all Malaga.

Roma paid Hellas Verona €24.5m to sign the forward in July 2014, beating Juventus in a bidding war.

He is under contract until June 2019, but his value has since plummeted to around half that.
