Liverpool’s Origi won’t be Milan’s only signing in attack

Milan are close to securing the services of Divock Origi from Liverpool, but the Belgium international won’t be the only new signing for the Rossoneri in attack.

Calciomercato.com was the first Italian outlet to break the news of Origi being close to Milan and they now report that the Liverpool forward is on the verge of signing with the Rossoneri ahead of a free move in the summer.

According to the report, talks are at an advanced stage and Origi will likely sign a €4m-a-year deal until 2027. He won’t be Milan’s only new face in attack as Paolo Maldini is planning more investments to improve the squad up front.

Origi can play as a centre forward and as a winger, so there should be space for one more striker, regardless of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future.

Andrea Belotti is an option for the Rossoneri, although the Italy striker is not a priority for the Serie A giants. His contract with Torino expires at the end of the season. Sassuolo‘s Gianluca Scamacca is also a target and Milan will soon meet the Rossoneri to discuss the product of Roma and Lazio academies.

Nice’s Amine Gouiri, Reims’ Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad are also mentioned as possible targets for Milan although the latter has a €50m price tag and many admirers in the Premier League.
