Liverpool considering Juventus’ bid for Firmino – report

Juventus have reportedly submitted a formal offer for Roberto Firmino and Liverpool are now seemingly considering it.

The Bianconeri are still looking to give Massimiliano Allegri a new forward ahead of the upcoming season following the return of Alvaro Morata to Spain, and one player they’ve had their eye on for a little while now is the 30-year-old Brazilian forward. Firmino’s contract expires with Liverpool next year and a renewal seems relatively unlikely at this stage.

As reported by Tuttosport, Juventus submitted a concrete €23m offer to Liverpool recently and the Reds are now considering whether to accept. Some doubts have been raised by the club’s board, so a slightly higher second bid could be sent in soon.

The 30-year-old Firmino only made 10 Premier League starts last season for Liverpool, missing large parts of the season due to muscle injuries. With Sadio Mane leaving earlier this transfer window, the Reds could take this opportunity to further prepare their frontline for the future.
