Juventus have reportedly submitted a formal offer for Roberto Firmino and Liverpool are now seemingly considering it.

The Bianconeri are still looking to give Massimiliano Allegri a new forward ahead of the upcoming season following the return of Alvaro Morata to Spain, and one player they’ve had their eye on for a little while now is the 30-year-old Brazilian forward. Firmino’s contract expires with Liverpool next year and a renewal seems relatively unlikely at this stage.

As reported by Tuttosport, Juventus submitted a concrete €23m offer to Liverpool recently and the Reds are now considering whether to accept. Some doubts have been raised by the club’s board, so a slightly higher second bid could be sent in soon.

The 30-year-old Firmino only made 10 Premier League starts last season for Liverpool, missing large parts of the season due to muscle injuries. With Sadio Mane leaving earlier this transfer window, the Reds could take this opportunity to further prepare their frontline for the future.

  1. @Jacob – he’s a very good player and will bring vladhovic more into the game, can also play on the left wing forward role as chiesa still out till December

  2. Will be a good signing if this is true. Mohammed nailed it. We need to be able to cover Chiesa and rotate the squad given the number of games next season.

  3. No way
We need younger player like raspadori
This firminho guy is too sluggish for my liking please

  4. Yea 23€m for a 30 old with only 10 matches last season, it really sounds like fake news. But then again “bla bla slowball bla bla allegri yallah yallah 4th place”

  5. 71 goals in 231 appearances for the mighty Reds is nothing to get excited about. Not to worry Da Vinci Code Max will convert him into a fine defensive holding midfielder.

  6. Why gamble? Who will guarantee this man will fit and be available for the team? And when he’s not, you will have to pay big for nothing. Why don’t invest in a younger player? This is wasting money from front to back. What a weird transfer policy, but I am sure Allegri only wants 30+ yo players so yeah.

  7. @Juvetini, raspadorri only had 1 good season, and also he likes to play on the left in a 3 , thats where chiesa plays, when chiesa back dont think he will want to play on the right forcing himself as a right winger only
