Juve raise doubts about Zaniolo with Roma future uncertain

Nicolo Zaniolo’s Roma future is heavily shrouded in doubt and even the interested Juventus have raised concerns.

The 22-year-old Italian forward is not having a particularly simple season under coach Jose Mourinho in the Italian capital, with things recently being even more frustrating. He was benched for the Derby della Capitale success against Lazio and did not feature in the play-off match against North Macedonia. He also frustrated Roberto Mancini in the friendly win over Turkey.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Juventus are interested in picking up Zaniolo in the summer but they’ve recently raised some doubts and they certainly don’t play to pay Roma €60m for his signature.

Should he stay in Rome, his new deal would be far from his €5m net per season requests, so he’ll need to perform with flying colours in the final weeks of the season if he wants these wages.

Zaniolo has been ruled out of the Giallorossi’s upcoming match against Sassuolo but he could appear off the bench in the Europa Conference League match against Bodø/Glimt.
