Inter captain Lautaro Martinez celebrated Inter’s win over Romelu Lukaku’s Roma on Sunday by posting a picture with match-winner Marcus Thuram and praising the ‘spectacular’ San Siro.
Lukaku was welcomed by his former fans with more 40,000 whistles at the Stadio Meazza on Sunday and had a bad night against his ex-club that secured a 1-0 victory thanks to a Thuram goal.
The Frenchman is the one who practically replaced Lukaku at San Siro last summer even if, when the Frenchman signed for the Nerazzurri, the club were still working for Lukaku’s return from Chelsea.
The reception Lukaku received from his ex-teammate wasn’t much better. Lautaro didn’t even look at his former teammate in the eyes when players shook hands before kick-off.
The Nerazzurri captain even praised Inter fans on Instagram after the game.
Lautaro celebrated Inter’s victory against Roma by posting three pictures, including one with Thuram and wrote: ‘Well done guys, great Inter. Spectacular San Siro as always.’
