“Reading my name among the possible candidates makes me very proud. I’d like to lead the Nazionale,” Guidolin told Radio Deejay.
“Being Italy Coach would also give me more time to recover from the stress. It would be a boost to my health as well as great work.
“I do like the day-to-day work at club level, but I’ve been doing this for 40 years, so a new experience would be welcome.”
While Udinese have consistently performed above and beyond their capabilities in Serie A, Guidolin has shown problems on the continent.
The Friulani lost three consecutive play-offs to enter the Champions League and Europa League, this year going out to Slovan Liberec after hitting the woodwork three times.
