Galliani: ‘Milan wanted Totti’

Adriano Galliani confirms Milan tried “many times” to get Francesco Totti but “romantically it’s better” that he stayed at Roma.

The Giallorossi captain has spent his entire career with the club, and is celebrating his 40th birthday today.

“Very, very happy birthday, dear Francesco,” Galliani said in an interview with Sky.

“Congratulations on your remarkable career, always in the same shirt. There was a courtship from Milan, it’s all true. We tried so many times.
