Florenzi’s future uncertain as transfer window approaches

Alessandro Florenzi is working hard to be fit in time to help with Milan’s Scudetto push but his future still remains shrouded in doubt.

The 31-year-old is currently undergoing a treatment regiment in Milanello following the meniscus injury suffered earlier this month in the 0-0 draw with Bologna. Yesterday he ran on the pitches of the training ground for the first time since the injury and he hopes to return in time for the match against Hellas Verona on May 8.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Milan were prepared to enter talks with Roma regarding a permanent move for Florenzi before his latest injury, but now they’re a little more hesitant and uncertain.

The Rossoneri want to see how the end of the season plays out before they make a final decision, especially because there’s no signs that Roma are willing to give a discount on the previously agreed €4.5 million buy option attached to his loan move.
