Fiorentina and Tottenham meet over Vlahovic transfer

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina and Tottenham directors met in London to discuss Dusan Vlahovic’s transfer.

The Serbian forward scored a hat-trick in La Viola’s 3-0 win over Spezia on Sunday, but he could leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi in January.

Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso announced that the 21-year-old would not extend his contract expiring in June 2023 and according to multiple reports in Italy, La Viola are trying to sell the striker in the winter transfer window.

Director Joe Barone did not deny that Vlahovic could leave Fiorentina in January.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Barone and Daniele Pradé met Tottenham’s Fabio Paratici in London last week to discuss Vlahovic’s transfer.

Fiorentina’s request is €60-70m and talks between the two parties will continue in the coming weeks.

Juventus are also interested in securing the player’s services, but it remains to be seen whether or not the Old Lady would manage to match Fiorentina’s demands.

Vlahovic made his Serie A debut in September 2018 against Inter. He has scored 35 goals in 88 Serie A games.

He refused to sign a new €4m-a-year deal with Fiorentina despite his current €800,000 salary.
