EDF: ‘Roma can’t slip-up’

Eusebio Di Francesco warns Roma “can’t get it wrong” against Spal, and says Daniele De Rossi will be disciplined.

The Giallorossi face the newly-promoted side tomorrow, and while they’re heavy favourites for the match, the Coach wants to guard against complacency.

“I’ve told the lads they can’t get it wrong, because all the teams at the top are really strong,” Di Francesco cautioned in his pre-match Press conference.

“Total respect for Spal, they can’t be taken lightly because they have experienced players up-front like [Sergio] Floccari and [Marco] Borriello.

“If we don’t go onto the pitch well they can hurt us.

NapoliJuventus? I hope for a draw, that way we’ll all stay up there.”

Daniele De Rossi copped a two-match ban for slapping Genoa’s Gianluca Lapadula, and the captain will be disciplined.

“The first thing I did was slap him!” Di Francesco laughed.

“All joking aside, like with a child you have to help them in times of difficulty. He’ll pay what he has to pay according to our internal rules, which will remain internal. Measures will be taken.

“After that everything will start from scratch. He, who is a real Romanista, has to feel supported in difficult moments.”
